Our dynamic Toys & Technology team are now looking for a highly analytical and commercially astute Merchandiser to join them here at Harrods on a 6-month fixed term contract.

About the Role 

In this role you will be responsible for leading your team in planning sales, stock, intake, and margin across all channels. Through detailed analysis of historical data and close collaboration with buying colleagues, you will create and implement strategies that maximize profit and enhance business performance.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct mid-season reviews to identify key growth areas and optimize stock allocation.
  • Develop and manage sales, stock, and OTB (Open to Buy) plans to align with business goals.
  • Reforecast in-season performance and implement actions to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee the production of range plans and work closely with buyers to agree on brand-level OTB plans.
  • Monitor trading performance, analyse risks and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Manage intake, ensuring timely deliveries and quick resolution of shipment issues.
  • Foster strong relationships with Buying, Distribution, Retail, Finance, and Online teams.
  • Lead, train, and mentor Assistant Merchandisers and Merchandise Admin Assistants.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and team performance.

About You 

You will be a talented and experienced Merchandiser with a strong background in multi-brand or luxury retail. You’ll also have proven expertise in merchandising, demonstrating strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel—SAP experience is a plus. You should be commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities and mitigate risks, ensuring optimal stock management and business profitability.
