When open, opportunities are listed on our Careers site. Our flagship Harrods Retail Academy welcomes regular intakes and develops the next generation of retail professionals.

From Apprentice to Leader: Abbie’s Harrods Journey
Starting as a Retail Academy apprentice in 2016, Abbie built the skills, confidence, and experience that helped her grow into leadership roles across Harrods. Here’s her journey.
Starting my career on the Harrods Retail Academy in 2016 shaped everything that followed. It taught me the Harrods way from day one, gave me the chance to rotate across departments, and helped me build real confidence with the support of people who believed in my potential. A key moment was finishing my final placement and realising I had the skills, and the courage, to apply for the Harrods Management Programme, made possible by the exposure and guidance the Academy gave me.
Since then, I’ve grown through roles in Furniture, The Outlet, Beauty, and now the Home and Furniture Divisions. Every time a new Retail Academy apprentice joins us, I’m reminded how transformative that early support can be. It took me from my very first day in retail to a career I’m incredibly proud of, and it’s why early‑career investment matters. It strengthens the business, and it changes lives.
National Apprenticeship Week 2026
Back to the Floor with Simon & Rhys
For National Apprenticeship Week 2026, we followed Simon, our Head of Engineering, as he returned to where it all began. Three decades after starting his own career as an apprentice, he spent the day shadowing Rhys, one of our current Engineering Apprentices, to see firsthand how today’s early‑career talent keeps Harrods moving.
From stepping back into uniform to tackling real day‑to‑day tasks, the experience offered a meaningful look at the evolving craft of engineering, and the enduring impact of apprenticeships across generations.
