Our extensive, in-house Learning & Development, and Talent & Leadership Development, teams design the majority of our professional and personal development opportunities. If you see this logo, you know it’s designed by Harrods, for Harrods. Our motto is ‘Learn Your Way’ and describes our ambition to enable all colleagues to learn how and when it suits them.
What's On
‘Learn & Connect’ brings together all the available opportunities for you to learn, grow and come together with other Harrods colleagues. Monthly newsletters and events calendars showcase opportunities for learning, including workshops, lunch & learns podcasts, and career events.
Empowering You
We’ve partnered with inrehearsal, an on-demand video learning platform designed to aid your self-development, as guided by you. Inrehearsal connects you to world-class trainers and experts through short, powerful video classes or virtual TedTalk-style masterclasses.
The Harrods Manager: Getting Started
This is our manager onboarding programme for newly promoted or hired managers in Harrods. Sessions help our colleagues adjust to their new roles quickly, increase confidence in their new responsibilities, and build connections with peers through conversation and knowledge sharing. Newly hired managers will complete this programme within the first three months of their new role.
Mentoring
We offer two mentoring programmes.
DRIVE: A six-month mentoring programme which connects high-potential colleagues with senior leaders. DRIVE aims to support colleagues' personal and professional development, whilst helping them increase their exposure and network.
LISTEN: A six-month reverse mentoring program which connects colleagues across the business, who would not ordinarily cross paths. LISTEN helps mentees cultivate empathy, share insights and explore diverse perspectives.
Harrods Management Programme
HMP for short. This four-month talent programme is for aspiring people managers. HMP sets learners up for success and provides an opportunity to develop, practice and learn the skills they need to be successful in their current or future people management roles.
Retail Academy
The perfect first step into a career in luxury retail. Study for a Level 3 Retail Team Leader apprenticeship and complete three, six-month rotations within different departments as a Sales Associate at our flagship Knightsbridge store. You’ll be supported to build your professional network, develop new skills and meet other departments including Visual Merchandising, Private Shopping, Buying, Marketing and more.
Apprenticeships
We’re so proud to have colleagues studying apprenticeships across all levels, working towards qualifications in areas like Finance, Retail, Supply Chain, Buying & Merchandising, Project Management, Restaurants & Kitchens and many more. Whether you join the business in one of our entry-level apprenticeship positions or undertake an apprenticeship to grow your career, we are committed to creating a supportive and engaging working environment for you.
Retail Management Programme
A 15-month management development and apprenticeship programme for aspiring future Retail Managers. Led by our Talent Development team, in partnership with the Fashion Retail Academy. Once completed, learners receive a widely recognised Level 4 qualification in Retail Management.
Together Graduates
Led by a dedicated member of the Learning & Development team, the Together Graduates cohort invites you to join your graduate peers from across the business for monthly catch-ups, learning workshops, guest speaker sessions and networking opportunities. It is designed to help you understand the wider business, navigate your career and grow in confidence whilst you embed in your role.

Through our expert Resourcing and L&D teams, we offer everyone a chance to access career guidance and support.
If you are looking for that next step, we have ‘Ask Away’ table sessions and Career Clinics available. You may want to know more about internal vacancies, gaining qualifications or broadening your professional knowledge. You may simply want guidance on CV writing or what to expect from an interview. Career sessions are open to all and at Harrods, we encourage you to take the driving seat in your career and explore the opportunities we have.
