Buying Manager - Makeup, Fragrance & International Brands

Our Beauty team are now looking for an experienced Buying Manager to join them in their Fragrance, Makeup and International Brand category to drive our business across all channels, including in-store to online and H beauty.

About the Role

You will play a key role in shaping our fragrance and makeup portfolio, ensuring an innovative and commercially successful product mix. You will lead a team of buyers, work closely with brand partners, and develop strategies that enhance Harrods’ prestige and profitability.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Product & Merchandise Strategy - Selecting and managing a best-in-class brand portfolio that aligns with customer demand, trends, and business objectives.
  • Financial Performance - Driving sales, net contribution, and profitability, ensuring margin targets are met while maximizing brand investment.
  • Brand & Partner Relations - Developing strong partnerships with key beauty brands, negotiate agreements, and secure exclusives that elevate Harrods’ offering.
  • Business Planning & Analysis - Analysing sales trends, oversee stock management, and implement strategies to optimise performance across all retail models (own buy, concession, beauty services).
  • Leadership & Development - Inspiring and lead a team of buyers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and commercial acumen.

About You

You will be a highly skilled Buying Manager with proven experience in luxury beauty and a multi-brand retail environment. You will also have strong commercial acumen and exceptional negotiation skills, with a track record of driving sales growth and profitability.

You will also have:

  • Leadership experience with a focus on coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of the luxury retail landscape, customer trends, and innovative brand activations.
  • A collaborative and influential communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
