We are a world-renowned business, and as such, have a thriving HR team which operates in a very fast-paced environment. We seek an Employee Relations Specialist to bring their skills to Harrods, where you will see tangible results from your expertise.
About the Role
Our Employee Relations team is the go-to for successful solutions to employee relations issues based on employment law expertise and business knowledge. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will partner senior stakeholders in the retail business, playing a crucial role in creating successful solutions.
Addressing complex employee relations issues, you will investigate and provide practical support. You will similarly provide guidance to your internal business partners in our centres of excellence HR function, including Resourcing, Learning & Development, Reward and Talent Development.
Within this role, you will:
- Provide feedback and coaching to managers through formal meetings and processes.
- Support business change processes, calculating people cost impact of change, monitoring the change process and providing support to communications.
- Use a case management system to maintain up to date records to ensure accurate reporting information.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge bank of legislation and agreements relating to UK employment law.
- Liaise with the legal department, where required, for case advice or tribunal preparation.
- Comply with GDPR legislation and complete Data Subject Access requests.
- Analyse trends in employment issues being handled through HR Services, and questions asked/support needed by line managers, to identify areas for potential process, policy and tool improvement.
About You
You will have previous experience as an Employee Relations Specialist in a business with a large employee population, and you will be familiar with supporting business change processes. You’ll have expert knowledge of employment legislation and be able to handle complex cases through to resolution, with trust, expertise and finesse. You will be a expert right-hand to the ER Manager, and as such bring a wealth of experience having led extensive and complex cases with limited guidance. You will also have demonstrable experience of leading change programmes.
You will also:
- Be a fair, values-driven individual who considers both the business and the colleague
- Have supporting qualifications and experience in a large HR team
- Hold excellent organisational skills
