The Fire, Health and Safety team work tirelessly to develop and embed a positive, safe and secure environment at Harrods, with the Health and Safety Advisers providing vital guidance and advice to the Harrods group.

About the Role

Our Health and Safety Advisers conduct regular audits and investigations, compile reports, write policy and make recommendations to the business in order to mitigate risks and prevent the occurrence of incidents. The Health and Safety Advisers train our staff to understand the principles in Health and Safety regulations and provide integral support by advising stakeholders across all areas of our business, including working closely on in-store installations and building projects alike.

This role is based on-site in Knightsbridge, 5 days in the office.

In return, you’ll receive an excellent benefits package including a company pension, 25 days’ holiday and your birthday off, up to 33% in-store discount (including across our food hall and restaurants) and a season ticket loan.

About You

On hand to deliver guidance to our iconic store, you'll have plenty of knowledge on Fire Health and Safety regulations and policies. No one day is the same here at Harrods, therefore you'll be a flexible worker with a proactive approach to each and every day. You will have vast experience in a range of areas and be comfortable in adapting your communication style to various internal stakeholders and confident in delivering internal training.

You will also:

  • Hold a professionally recognised Health and Safety qualification at Level 3 or above – preferably Grad IOSH or equivalent (NEBOSH diploma etc).
  • Be competent and confident carrying out suitable and sufficient risk and COSHH assessments.
  • Have experience with complex report-writing.
  • Have a proven track record of completing projects accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Be personable and engaging, able to effectively take stakeholders through the safety journey.
