Our Food Buying team are now looking for a Senior Buyer to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract.
You will play a pivotal role in implementing the commercial strategy for our Harrods Restaurants, Food Hall's Own Bought (OB) and concession product ranges. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to source, negotiate, and manage exquisite products that embody the quality and prestige our customers
expect.
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for building strong supplier relationships, identify emerging market trends, and overseeing the launch of new products and concessions to deliver and exceed sales and profit targets. In addition, you may lead and develop a direct report, ensuring their success.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Developing and execute OB and concession category strategies to achieve financial KPIs.
- Conducting supplier negotiations to source top-tier products at competitive prices.
- Analysing performance data to inform strategy and optimize range effectiveness.
- Taking ownership of shop floor layouts and training for sales floor teams.
- Managing concession operations, ensuring adherence to best practices and operational excellence.
- Identifying market opportunities to deliver exceptional experiences for our discerning customers.
About You
You will be an experienced buyer or category manager with a solid track record in the food industry. You’ll also possess exceptional commercial acumen, leveraging your expertise to drive profitable decisions and optimize product offerings. Skilled in negotiation, you excel at building strategic supplier relationships and securing the best quality and value, ensuring a competitive edge in the market.
