The SAP Technical Manager is a driven senior manager responsible for leading SAP Basis, SAP Programming, and SAP GRC functions of the organisation. Collectively the teams are responsible for maintaining the technical foundation to allow our SAP landscape to function at a high level, providing excellent service to our application teams and our end users.

About the role

The role owns both the delivery and the operations across the SAP technical landscape. Through close relationships with IT architecture SAP applications, the SAP Technical Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, tuning, and monitoring of new SAP solutions added to our landscape, and supporting any required development by ensuring we balance meeting business requirements while maintaining our objective of a clean core and easily supported environments.

Once those solutions and developments are in place, the SAP Technical Manager is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the technical landscape, and acting as 3rd level support for issues and incidents.

About you

You will be a highly motivated self-starter with extensive SAP Technical Experience, as well as deep expertise and/or certifications in SAP Basis or Programming (HANA, ON PREMIS).

Previous experience performing full SAP implementation life cycle with enterprise solutions (Core SAP ECC or S4/HANA) is essential, as well as exposure to transformation programmes and business change initiatives (ideally S4/HANA). 

You will also have:

•             Knowledge of Basis, Hana, Solution Manager (Sole man)

•             Hands on experience developing ABAP, FIORI, BTP

•             Experience with SAP GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance)

•             Experience of managing teams and projects

•             Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Finally, you will have experience with leading and developing teams as well as the ability to build professional relationships at all levels across the business.
