We are looking for a dynamic Retail Marketing Executive to support our Retail Marketing Manager in delivering innovative and engaging marketing strategies that drive in-store activations, staff incentives, and customer engagement.
About the Role
As Retail Marketing Executive, you'll be immersed in the heart of our luxury store environment—translating insights from the shop floor into powerful marketing activations. You’ll collaborate across trade, loyalty, events, creative, and retail leadership teams to identify opportunities that elevate the customer experience and drive commercial performance.
You'll act as a bridge between brand vision and shop-floor execution, constantly scanning for areas to improve signage, retail theatre, staff incentives, or cross-divisional selling. Whether it’s designing a staff incentive, localised campaign idea, or refining how we present a product category—your focus will be how to activate the store and maximise every customer interaction.
Other responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Trade Marketing Executive, Group Trade Manager, and Retail & Loyalty teams to plan and execute key retail activations, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Assisting in planning and implementing staff training, incentives, and cross-divisional selling initiatives to enhance in-store performance.
- Preparing monthly reports, tracking competitor promotional activity, and providing insights to optimise future marketing initiatives.
- Developing strong relationships with Retail Leadership, Content & Creative, Events, and CRM teams to ensure seamless marketing execution.
- Attending retail leadership meetings, providing updates and insights on past and upcoming marketing activities while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
About You
You are a proactive and strategic thinker with proven experience in luxury retail—ideally in a brand management or customer-facing leadership role. You think like a customer, act like a brand owner, and are motivated by making the store a true destination. From signage and product placement to team engagement and clienteling moments, you know that every detail counts in delivering an exceptional in-store experience. You thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at building strong relationships across cross-functional teams. You are confident using data to inform your decisions, and you understand how insight can unlock smarter, more engaging marketing. Whether you’re working alongside loyalty, creative, or retail partners, your collaborative spirit and customer-first mindset make you a trusted and respected team player.
You will also have:
- Experience in brand management or customer leadership within a luxury retail environment, with a focus on in-store marketing and activation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and suggest clear, practical improvements.
- A working knowledge of clienteling, localised marketing, and how to build lasting customer relationships through service and storytelling.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities, with confidence in tools like Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- A collaborative mindset aligned with Harrods values—humility, courtesy, and always putting the customer first.
