We have an incredible opportunity for a passionate Beauty Content Lead to join our team. As the divisional lead, you will own the 360 strategic vision and delivery of beauty content across the Harrods Group: Harrods (Knightsbridge and online), H beauty and Drybar across every channel; organic and paid. This includes, but is not limited to, .com, social media, Harrods magazine, CRM, printed collateral, in-store screens, in-store signage, events and much more.
You will act as Harrods’ content figurehead for beauty—bringing editorial integrity, innovation, and storytelling excellence to every customer touchpoint. You will bring a rare blend of creative leadership, commercial acumen and industry expertise, playing a pivotal part in shaping how we communicate with our beauty customer.
About the role
You’ll develop and execute a 360-degree content strategy across digital, social, print and in-store platforms, aligning closely with customer, trade, and marketing priorities. This is a highly collaborative role that requires you to influence senior stakeholders across Marketing, Partnerships (Media), Buying, CRM, Creative and Trade, while leading a team of five to deliver high-impact, insight-led content that performs.
This is a hands-on management role, balancing strategic planning, people management and high-profile delivery. The ability to interpret performance analytics, lead with data, and pivot strategy in an agile way is essential. You’ll also represent Harrods in public-facing capacities—from PR networking and presenting video content to hosting live events.
You will…
- Support the development and implementation of Harrods' content strategy in line with brand values and business objectives, and define specific strategic approach for Beauty content for Harrods and H beauty.
- Oversee a team of five, providing leadership guidance and day-to-day management: Deputy Beauty Editor, H beauty Deputy Content Editor, Beauty Writer, Beauty Assistant, H beauty Content Creator.
- Serve as beauty content lead on social media: Instagram, TikTok and RED, working closely with the Social Media Strategy Lead to adapt content strategy based on ever-evolving best practice platform recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, CRM, online trade, social media, and brand partnerships to deliver high-quality content across owned and paid channels.
- Identify and develop new Media content opportunities through collaboration with Brand Partnership Leads to drive new investment growth across all channels.
- Be responsible for tracking beauty content performance against targets and offering strategic recommendations.
About You
With a deep understanding of the luxury beauty landscape and fast-evolving digital and retail behaviours, you’ll continually refine strategy, champion best practice, and steer content that builds long-term brand equity and short-term commercial results.
You will have…
- Proven experience in beauty content leadership, ideally within luxury, retail, or a multi-brand environment with a digital first approach.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a data-driven approach to content strategy, performance optimisation, and customer engagement.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Track record of leading high-performing teams, with the ability to inspire, develop and manage diverse talent.
- Comfortable in public-facing roles (e.g. hosting, presenting, interviews), with strong verbal presentation skills.
- A confident and resilient multitasker who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Deep knowledge of the beauty and luxury industry, consumer trends, competitive landscape and content innovation.
