We are looking for a POS Product Owner to join our IT team at Harrods. You will support and deliver change to the systems that enable essential trading operations in the UK, focussed on EPOS and Scales.

About The Role

As the POS Product Owner you will be an active member of the Retail Systems Delivery team delivering change and support to the systems that we manage. From fixing production issues not only through their immediate resolution but also understanding and resolving root causes, through interaction with internal teams and 3rd party partners (Principally Enactor and Bizerba) to project testing and delivery

The role will involve on-call which will done on rotation over the weekend and overnight.

You will also;

  • Ensure adoption of governance practises across all areas.
  • Contribute to process improvements to obtain efficiencies.
  • Liaise with third party vendors to deliver solutions and resolve application issues.
  • Reduce system defects by analysing issues and providing appropriate fixes.
  • Maintain positive customer relations and successfully resolve customer complaints and issues.

About You

The successful candidate will have exposure to critical business systems and will take pride in understanding and supporting them. Self-motivation and time management are essential skills and our new team member can look forward to having real input into the systems and processes that push Harrods forwards.

You will need to have the following;

  • Experience with working on EPOS systems and related technologies, preferably Enactor or Retail J.
  • Experience of working with Windows based systems and implementing change to these systems.
  • Experience of working with databases (SQL, Derby) preferable.
  • Experience of working within standard IT controls (ITIL & Prince) desirable
