Our Inventory Optimisation team is now looking for an Inventory Associate (stock count) to join our operations based at the Thames Valley Distribution Centre in Thatcham. This role is vital to maintaining accuracy and efficiency across our inventory and stock movement processes, ensuring we deliver the highest standards behind the scenes.

About the Role 

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting inventory counts, managing stock movements, and ensuring effective product placement within our Distribution Centre. Working closely with the Inventory Optimisation Assistant Manager, you will take ownership of key tasks and projects, while also collaborating with wider departments to maintain integrity, accuracy, and efficiency across the inventory function. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Carrying out perpetual inventory counts and processing documentation in SAP 
  • Executing stock audits and analysing variances through detailed reports 
  • Supporting warehouse strategies for product placement and capacity management 
  • Managing stock issues including delivery errors and contributing to stock consolidation tasks 
  • Upholding standards of organisation, ensuring stock is stored in an orderly and accessible manner 
  • Promoting best practice across the team and supporting operational projects 
  • Championing Health and Safety to ensure a safe working environment 
  • Supporting a culture of efficiency, collaboration, and excellence

About You 

You will be an experienced warehouse and distribution professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident using SAP and working with high-volume stock, while demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and reliability. You will also be familiar with Food Safety Regulations and committed to maintaining the highest Harrods quality standards. 

You will also have: 

  • A strong understanding of inventory control and stock management processes 
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team 
  • Great organisational and time-management skills 
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement
