We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to take charge of our learning strategy as Head of Learning, delivering impactful solutions that foster growth, enhance performance, and align with our organisational goals.
This is a fixed term contract, maternity cover beginning mid February 2025 for 12 months.
About the Role
As Head of Learning, you’ll take the helm of our L&D strategy, delivering innovative solutions that empower our people and elevate organisational performance. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role is key in aligning our learning and development initiatives with organisational goals and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with the HR Leadership team to deliver the HR Strategy and align L&D initiatives with business objectives.
- Oversee the six key workstreams of the learning strategy, including onboarding circa 5000 colleagues annually, open learning programmes, digital learning platforms, tailored strategic projects, performance management processes, and management development rollouts.
- Manage the L&D budget effectively while delivering both strategic projects and operational excellence.
- Partner with business leaders and HR colleagues to provide bespoke consultancy and advice, leveraging deep external market expertise to influence strategy.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing L&D team, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth while championing our organisational values.
About You
You are passionate about lifelong learning and dedicated to creating impactful development experiences. With a proven track record in both leadership and learning roles, you will bring strategic thinking, exceptional communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including Board-level. You’ll have a deep understanding of learning design and quality assurance, enabling you to develop in-house solutions and deliver engaging content to diverse audiences. You’ll be skilled in project management and process improvement, excelling at translating business needs into effective and innovative L&D strategies.
You will also have:
- Leadership experience in L&D or related fields, with familiarity in utilising a LMS (e.g., Workday Learning).
- Strong facilitation skills, confidently delivering content to senior audiences.
- Resilience, personal impact, and a strategic mindset to handle complex challenges effectively.
