Our Harrods Own Label team are now looking for an Assistant Demand Planner to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract.

You’ll play a crucial in providing support to the Demand Planner and Demand Planning Manager to ensure accuracy & integrity of Demand and Fulfilment across Own Label.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing the demand signal across a cluster of brands for the purposes of driving the supply chain and supporting gross sales planning. You will take initiative and continuously deliver improvements to business planning accuracy, enhance our sales performance, and optimise inventory holdings.

You will also:

  • Supporting the Demand Planning team in developing the demand plan and fulfilment for all sites to ensure its quality for all retail channels.
  • Assisting in challenging the promotional and launch sales forecasts projected by the Buying/Retail teams, making sure to forecast events and promotions in line with key dates.
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy when managing data relating to replenishment in SAP.
  • Monitoring DFUs (Demand Forecasting Units) in demand and assist with tuning forecasts, ensuring high levels of forecast accuracy.
  • Managing SKUs (Stock Keeping Unit) in fulfilment ensuring correct safety stock parameters and coverage set are appropriate and in agreement with relevant teams.
  • Supporting the demand planner with manual overrides and stock transfer orders needed for sales, promotional periods or to cover stocktakes, new site set ups, creating layout modules, vendor closures, RTVs (Return To Vendor) etc.
  • Working closely with the Demand Planner to develop accurate new launches, discontinuation and aged stock forecasts.

About You

You will be a confident, professional communicator who is able to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal teams. You’ll also demonstrate a high level of organisation and systematic approach to completing tasks on time. In a fast-paced environment, it is key to manage your workload efficiently and hold a level of flexibility to adapt when priorities often change.

You will also have:

  • Excellent PC literacy including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Previous experience in a Demand Planning or Merchandising Admin role.
  • A high-level understanding of the system SAP.
  • Solid experience in SKU level forecasting and allocating.
