Assistant Buyer- Nursery & Baby - Fixed Term Contract

You’ll become a leading figure in one of the most exciting and fast-moving buying departments in the world. Working through the buying cycle across all channels, you’ll support our Buyer with product selection and orders, highlight new brands and manage exclusive in-store pop-ups. You’ll assist the Buyer with communicating product, brand and trend information on the season ahead to internal teams such as the store retail team, airport retail team, Visual Merchandising, Online Trading, Marketing, PR and Social media to ensure new launches, exclusive products and key trends.

We keep Harrods at the forefront of luxury retail by identifying brands that match consumer tastes and supporting our journey to become the world’s leading luxury retail emporium. Our team believe that collaboration with other divisions is key to reaching our goals, by building effective relationships with all brands, head office contacts, store management team, travel retail and online relationship partners.

About you

Analytical, numerate and aware of the luxury sector, you have already proved yourself as an Assistant Buyer. You understand ecommerce and omnichannel retail. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will be building strong internal and external relationships. We need you to demonstrate you have a strong commercial and business acumen, able to help with product selection and quantifying orders. You’ll be able to keep track of sales performance by creating and presenting reports.
