Senior Head Chef

We are currently looking for a Senior Head Chef to join our Restaurants and Kitchens team.
Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, and exclusive dining brands than any other location in the UK. You will be joining a passionate, supportive, and award-winning dining team, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role

The Senior Head Chef is responsible for leading their cluster of restaurants in the business in a manner that will ensure that a professional and correct operation is always carried out. You will drive quality in our food and ensure that the required specs are delivered on a daily basis through tasting and being present in the operations.
By focussing on running world class operations relevant to their outputs, you’ll ensure that we have the right talent in the right places, and foster a mentoring relationship with the team to coach skills and drive a committed and positive culture in all areas. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for supporting your restaurant cluster to consistently meet our KPIs based on waste, stock, margin and pay to sales.

About You

You’ll be a hands-on Chef, with a strong track record of hospitality experience working at a senior level within a prestigious 5* hotel or best-in-class restaurant environment. You’ll need to have a passion for driving operational excellence and have the confidence and knowledge to challenge the norm to raise the bar in all that we do.
Additionally, you’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must (Word, Excel and preferably SAP).
