We are seeking a talented and highly organized Print & Packaging Assistant Designer to join our Harrods Own Label team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

As an Assistant Print & Packaging Designer, you will be responsible for demonstrating excellent layout skills, typography, and retouching abilities. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and presentation programs (PowerPoint, Keynote), you will create digital art and assets that ensure the delivery of best-in-class products and innovative designs.

You will collaborate closely with the Buying, Merchandising, and Garment Tech teams, managing and delivering against key dates efficiently. Your insights on new trends and opportunities will contribute to the seasonal strategy, and you will assist in creating print and packaging mood boards while researching category trends.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Driving customer acquisition, quality, and brand equity through packaging decisions.
  • Ensuring quick and efficient delivery of design elements in response to sales opportunities.
  • Developing best-in-class products in line with the strategic design direction.
  • Creating and amending individual print designs, manage colours, layers, and distribution to suppliers.
  • Assisting in managing packaging details, including typography, graphic layout, and print specifications.
  • Ensuring packaging is developed from concept to detailed design brief, achieving right-first-time samples.
  • Understanding suppliers' print capabilities and ensure correct interpretation of design briefs.
  • Collating and communicating pre-season inputs from suppliers, providing clear feedback to the team.

About You

You will be someone who possesses a deep understanding of the bridge and luxury retail landscape, having built extensive knowledge over the course of your experience that you can leverage to the Harrods’ advantage. You’ll be highly creative with an exceptional taste level, ensuring your designs align with our prestigious brand. You will also be highly organized, able to manage multiple projects efficiently, and maintain a flexible approach to adapt to the dynamic needs of the luxury retail environment.
