Kitchen Porter

Our restaurants’ stewarding team are now looking for a Kitchen Porter to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our kitchens. You will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of our kitchen and front-of-house operations within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe and well-organised kitchen environments. Reporting to the Stewarding Manager, you will work closely with Chefs, Floor Managers and the wider team to ensure that high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety are consistently maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning designated kitchen areas, equipment and storage spaces in line with food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Washing pots, pans, utensils, chopping boards, crockery and chinaware to the required standards.
• Operating kitchen machinery safely and reporting any faults or operational concerns promptly.
• Handling and storing cleaning materials and equipment correctly while disposing of waste responsibly.
• Completing opening and closing checks and supporting different restaurant outlets according to the daily allocation rota.

This role is fully on site, working 5 out of the 7 days a week.

About You

You will be reliable, organised and comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced kitchen environment. You will take pride in maintaining exceptional standards and bring a positive, resilient and collaborative approach to your work.

You will also demonstrate:

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• The physical fitness and resilience required to carry out demanding cleaning duties and safely handle heavy items.
• The ability to follow operational, food safety and health and safety procedures carefully.
• The flexibility to work varied shifts across five days out of seven, including early starts, late finishes and, where required, night shifts.
• A willingness to learn new skills, support colleagues and work effectively across different restaurant outlets.

You will need to be comfortable cleaning equipment that has been used to prepare meat products, including pork, or that has contained alcohol. You must also be comfortable working in sub-basement kitchen environments that may not have windows.

This is a permanent, fully on-site position based in Knightsbridge, working 40 hours per week. You will need to be fully flexible across the week and available to work a range of shift patterns. Rotas are typically provided two weeks in advance.
