We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as the Head of Fine Jewellery & Watches, responsible for overseeing brand management, merchandise selection, and driving strategic growth in this luxury category.
About the Role
As the Head of Fine Jewellery & Watches, you will take full ownership of driving the success and profitability of this key category. Your role will involve managing an expert team of Buyers while building and nurturing strong relationships with leading global luxury brands. You’ll shape and execute the merchandise strategy, selecting brands and products that align with Harrods vision of exclusivity, high value, and collectability. Additionally, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business, including marketing, finance, and ecommerce, to maximise the visibility and sales potential of Fine Jewellery & Watches. A core focus of the role will be leveraging your deep industry knowledge to enhance the category’s market positioning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving gross sales across all channels, including store and online while maximising profitability and managing stock levels.
- Developing a commercially viable range with a focus on high-value, collectible, and exclusive products.
- Leading strategic brand partnerships to ensure exclusive access to products, experiences, and events.
- Engaging in and driving strategic projects, such as China Residence and Online Brand Partnerships, to expand Harrods global opportunities.
About You
You are a highly experienced professional with a deep understanding of the luxury retail landscape, particularly in Fine Jewellery & Watches. You have a track record of successfully managing brand portfolios and driving commercial success in a luxury environment. You possess exceptional relationship building skills and can maintain senior stake holder relationships with global luxury brands, whilst maintaining an active awareness of emerging trends and opportunities. You will be a strong negotiator and a commercially astute leader who can balance creativity with profitability.
You will also have:
- Significant experience in Buying/Concession Management, ideally within luxury goods, with a strong understanding of the Fine Jewellery & Watches sector.
- Proven relationship-building skills at a senior level, with the ability to negotiate effectively and secure exclusive brand partnerships.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a proven track record of delivering profitable strategies and meeting key financial targets.
