Our Creative Content team is looking for a Deputy Content Editor to focus on our H Beauty and Drybar areas. This role sits as part of the Creative Content team in the Brand Experience Division. The team create industry-leading content across all print and digital platforms, covering editorial, e-commerce, social, in-store and brand partnership content.

It has been a busy year for H beauty – most recently with the successful annual Carnival event which saw each store host a line-up of insta-worthy festivities; beauty masterclasses, treatments, beauty vending machines, in-store DJs and much more. 2023 also saw the launch of the brand on TikTok. Now is the time to elevate H beauty to the next level. 

About the Role

You will lead on all H Beauty & Drybar projects, being the decision maker keen take full accountability for marketing output. You’ll produce and manage content which drives our marketing and business goals, as well as execute H beauty and Drybar content strategy, partnering with the Beauty Editor and Head of Content. 

The role offers the opportunity for the right individual to embed themselves in all content pertinent to the H Beauty brand goals and aligning these across digital and print platforms. As H Beauty moves forward and builds on its success, you’ll be working with different areas of the business, supporting marketing & events teams to deliver against H Beauty’s ambitious goals.

The role will manage all BAU publishing across all platforms, working closely with our connected teams including Social Media, Creative (Art Direction & Design), Marketing, Trade & Buying and Partnerships & Media. You’ll be pitching, writing and editing content across all platforms – both editorial and sponsored/brand partnerships – from video storyboards to long-form features. You’ll be executing content delivery on paid campaigns for H Beauty and Drybar, and seeing them through from agency brief to go-live. You’ll be hosting events and presenting video content yourself. 

About You

You will be given the platform to showcase your beauty knowledge and skills by representing H beauty on camera and through events both internally and in the wider industry. Therefore, a passion for beauty and a flair for showcasing your skills is essential.

You will be a true expert in the beauty and wellness space, with brilliant brand, product and industry knowledge. A passion for creative beauty content and execution strategy, and an eye for detail, is something that comes naturally to you as well as being an inventive storyteller at heart, with a good sense of consumer behaviour and understanding of how to create successful content for a retail customer.

The interview process will encompass a standard interview plus a video assessment so we can see your presentation skills, and a discussion about your portfolio. 

You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build great relationships with stakeholders across the business, as well as the external Drybar stakeholders, and maintaining strong industry relationships with relevant brands. You will be confident in data reporting and analysis, and will be able to support projects within the business with in-depth knowledge of your subject and business priorities.

You will also have:

  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, with a particular focus on TikTok.
  • Adaptability to pivot based on new insights or direction.
  • Expert copywriting skills.
  • An analytical mind: able to analyse data and act upon it.
  • Good working knowledge of SEO.
  • Ability to work on several projects at once, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
