Dispatch Operative (Nights)

Our Distribution team are now looking for a Dispatch Operative to support the Nights Dispatch department in our Knightsbridge store on a permanent and FTC basis.

About The Role

The Dispatch team ensures that all customer orders in the department are fulfilled, packed, transported and dispatched on time and in the best quality to meet our required SLA’s (locally and internationally) and meet customer expectations the Harrods way.

Responsibilities include:

• Checking if all items are in perfect condition.
• Checking if all items and quantities are matching the docket (receipt).
• Export processing customer orders.
• Manual handling – weighting and palletising orders. Taking pallets to Receiving Bank with manual or electric pallet truck.
• Routing (planning) local deliveries for Harrods drivers
• Following Fire and Health & Safety rules.

This position works a Night Shift 11pm-7am, working 5 days out of 7.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You

You will have great attention to detail as you will be checking key details of luxury orders and products on a day to day basis. You will be hard working, quick thinking and have the ability to take initiative. You will be a valuable team player who thrives on getting the job done do a high Harrods standard. You will have great timekeeping ability with flexibility to support the team across multiple functions with the team end goal in mind.
