We are now hiring for a 4 month Creative Placement, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our welcoming and close-knit Harrods team in our creative department.

About the Role
Our Creative placement opportunity is a great opportunity to develop the skills to start your career with one of the most well-known luxury department stores in the world. Working full time throughout our creative departments to develop your skills before you graduate from university with a creative degree.
Spread across 4 months, you’ll experience all different types of the creative world at Harrods depending on your creative background, there will be opportunities to cross collaborate with different creative departments whilst learning how to take your creative background from university into the world of your career from Visual Merchandising to Graphic Design.
Role Responsibilities Include:
- Create a retail environment that appropriately represents the Harrods brand, mission statement and goals
- Implement eye catching product displays in order to attract and inspire customers and elevate sales
- work collaboratively with models, photographers, studio coordinators, content managers, producers and creative directors
- develop strong, up-to-date knowledge of designers, brands and trends, proofread to produce accurate and high-quality work.
- demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches and work on layouts ready for print
- work as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers, and advertising and marketing specialists.
- set up, manage and archive accurate artwork files and supply to relevant stakeholders.
- manage and update an in-house image library
- keep up to date with the latest design trends
- and much more!
About You
You may or may not have experience within a working creative environment, as we will invest in your development to fill in any of the gaps and give you the tools needed to succeed. You must be passionate about creativity, Harrods and going above and beyond to create moments of delight.
You will also:
- Excellent proficiency in all facets of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, and Indesign especially)
- Excellent layout skills, great typography and retouching knowledge
- To successfully understand a brief in order to interpret business needs and develop a concept to suit its purpose
- To think creatively to solve the problem the overall brief proposes; whilst being innovative within constraints of cost and time (Time management and prioritisation skills)
- Choosing the most suitable style and techniques based on the brief and brand guidelines
- A strong eye for detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, and can multi-task
