We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to support the Distribution function in our state-of-the-art hub in Thatcham, working a shift pattern from 3pm-11pm across 5 days.

About the role

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. We work together, and we win together in bringing moments of magic to our customers.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all warehouse tasks allocated to you are completed accurately and efficiently.

Tasks include:    

  • Collecting  paperwork from Admin office on a regular basis throughout shift
  • Matching paperwork with physical stock in all areas including Lane 6
  • Scanning All Hu’s
  • Moving physical stock with paperwork to relevant Inbound lanes
  • Advising seniors of any paperwork that is unable to be matched
  • Monitoring Outbound lane and move stock to Dispatch – carry out additional tasks for this if needed e.g., wrapping rails, pallets; stacking pallets etc.
  • Advising seniors of Any HU’s that have issues, mark up with issue and move to outbound query lane
  • Moving stock from Outbound when coming back, e.g. RTV, RTS, Totes, Cages etc
  • Monitoring Putaway areas in the warehouse (Mezz, 1080, SMG etc.) if there is sufficient space for processed stock - inform Team Leaders if an area is full or limited
  • Monitoring routing lanes (back of inbound, receiving bays) and move any stock left there from previous shift
  • Assisting colleagues who are processing by moving their routed stock – from their stations if needed, or from routing lanes
  • Moving completed ticketing stock back to storage from Re-ticketing area
  • Assisting with re-packing or re-wrapping pallets if needed
  • Monitoring GMP floor – clear and tidy empty pallets, tubs, boxes etc. , organise stock that is waiting to be verified, replenish empty tote areas and empty rail area every morning or when needed
  • Completing Photo Studio marshalling every evening at 8pm (afternoons on Saturday)
  • Monitoring Lane 6 – any stock with PW to be moved to front of inbound lanes so can be prioritised

This is a physical role which covers a large expanse of our Distribution Centre, as on average, our Warehouse Operatives complete 20,000 steps a day.

As Warehouse Operative you will have a strong work ethic and great attention to detail as you will be checking key details of luxury orders on a day to day basis. You will be hard working, reliable, quick thinking and have the ability to take initiative. You will be a valuable team player who thrives on getting the job done to a high Harrods standard. You will have great timekeeping ability with flexibility to support the team across multiple functions with the team end goal in mind.
