Our Thatcham based General Merchandise team are looking for an Administrator to support across the distribution function. The General Merchandise team is a vital part of the Harrods success story, our warehouse is at the heart of our international distribution service and a key cog in ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.


This role works a fixed shift pattern of 3pm-11pm, Monday to Friday and is paid at £13.42 per hour.


About the Role 


This role plays a key part in the smooth running of the General Merchandise function, You will be part of a team driving efficiencies throughout the entire Pre-Retail Network. You will support our Data Entry clerks team in the handling of administrative side of new stock coming in to the business  and support the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse.
In this role you will be responsible for:


•    Accurately checking individual delivery notes, provided with each shipment, and cross checking the information in our system.
•    Working alongside our Buying team as well as other internal departments and reporting all queries to Buying to collaboratively reach resolution.
•    Sending price tickets and security tags to brands and booking shipments using DHL / Parcelforce / Royal Mail websites.


About You 


You will be committed to our high standard service and have strong customer focus. You must be meticulous in your approach with a very keen eye for detail. You will be using online systems in your day to day with the verifying process, you will need to be computer literate. Having a background in using SAP systems and Microsoft Excel would be advantageous. 


You’ll also have:
•    Experience of working flexible hours/days and demonstrate the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role.
•    Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the changing demands of the role.
•    Strong numerical, literacy and communication skills.
