Site Services Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Services Team Leader to join our distribution centre in Thatcham on a full time basis.

About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for the team supporting the coordination of the Harrods recycling operation and maintenance of  the warehouse and outside operations ensuring that the team provides a high standard of service at all times and that the Distribution operations needs are met.

The hours for this role are 15:00 -23:00 Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:00 Saturday and Sunday, working a 5/7day week, 1 in 3 weekends worked.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working as part of the recycling programme, instructing the Site Services Operations team to ensure that the operation on both the main and satellite site is covered for the collection of cardboard, plastic etc from all areas of the warehouse, for baling
• Coordinating the sorting of all other waste and place into the relevant waste receptacles on the satellite site with the site services operations team
• Booking collections of waste skips (Veolia and A4), cardboard and poly collections (Thamesdown) and pallets (Associated, Chep, LPR, IPP)
• Coordinating the unloading, sorting, stacking, repairing and loading of pallets onto a trailer
• Coordinating the loading and unloading bales of cardboard/plastic etc
• Driving of a forklift

About You

You will have good communication skills both verbal and written, as well as good organizational and planning skills. You will be a team player who can show initiative and have a flexible attitude, with willingness to take on new challenges.
