Hair Stylist

We are currently looking for a full-time Blow Dry Hair Stylist to join our welcoming and close-knit H beauty team in Edinburgh. Whether you are an experienced blow drying enthusiast or have suddenly discovered your passion for the beauty industry, specifically through the magic of blow drying and styling, we have a place for you here at Harrods.

Exclusive to Harrods and H beauty, Drybar offers an elevated blow-dry experience for every occasion. H beauty is no normal beauty hall, with a champagne bar, blow dry bar, interactive playtables to try on the latest products, a Harrods gift shop, and a big pink bear for your Instagram pictures; we are focussed on the experience our customers have when they walk through our doors.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for providing a first-class, personal customer service, through building excellent rapports with your clients and nailing their styling requests with ease. It is essential within this role to care and cater to the needs of your clients, through adapting new skills and techniques to complete your work in a magical yet timely fashion. You will need to demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and strive to achieve business goals whilst being an ambassador for the values and H beauty brand.

In return for your dedicated service and excellent skills, you’ll enjoy a package that includes a minimum starting salary of £24,000 per annum, 22 days’ holiday, your birthday off, double time on Bank Holidays, up to 33% Harrods discount (including our restaurants),  plus joining our pension scheme.

About You 

You will have a great passion for the beauty industry, taking pride in everything you do, from greeting the customers as they enter, to the cleanliness and organisation of your work environment. You will be an excellent team player, believing strongly in our Harrods values and understanding the great value you add not only to your team but also to Harrods overarching goals and targets. 

You will also: 

•    Display a “can do” attitude, ensuring Drybar standards are upheld at all times.
•    Have both functional and technical knowledge/skills to perform a blowout.
•    Be excited to learn and grow within this role and be accepting of guidance from managers.
•    Have great communication skills as it is important to check in with your client throughout every step of their appointment.
•    You will be able to take initiative, prioritising tasks and jobs to upkeep the smooth running of Drybar.
