We are now looking for a Demand Planning Assistant to join our Beauty Team here at Harrods on a permanent basis.
About the Role
As a Demand Planning Assistant covering the Beauty category, you will provide comprehensive support to the Demand Planner and Demand Planning Manager, ensuring accuracy & integrity of Demand and Fulfilment for the category.
Our Beauty offering spans Knightsbridge, H Beauty and Online, within this you will drive the supply chain and support the gross sales planning of a cluster of brands. You will contribute toward delivering continuous improvements to business planning accuracy, enhancing sales performance and optimising inventory holdings.
The duties of the Demand Planning Assistant will include:
- Supporting the Demand Planner in challenging the promotional and launch sales forecasts projected by the Buying/Retail teams, forecasting events and promotions in line with key dates
- Management of master data relating to replenishment in SAP ensuring a high level of accuracy is always maintained
- Chasing deliveries and amend qty’s and delivery dates to improve visibility of inbound intake
- Resolving trouble shipments, co-ordinating with Distribution and Buying to ensure that issues are resolved promptly and drive improvements in vendor compliance
- Attending meetings with internal or external stakeholders when required
- Building and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across key internal teams including Buying, Retail, Online Trade, Product Catalogue and Distribution/Supply Chain
About You
Our future Demand Planning Assistant will possess great admin skills, knowledge of SAP and Excel as well as a proactive approach to problem solving. You will be flexible and ready to adapt to changing priorities – able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a fast paced environment.
Whether you have prior Merchandising, Demand Planning or Buying experience, you will be used to managing large data sets and SKU count, able to deliver at pace to key deadlines and time scales.
The ideal candidate will also possess:
- Experience of demand planning, replenishment and forecasting
- Experience of JDA system preferable
- Proven experience with SAP
- Excellent PC literacy (Word, PowerPoint, advanced Excel)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong customer service-focus when dealing with both internal and external parties
