My name is Valentina Maschio. I'm Head Chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Burger in Harrods. So when I was younger, I didn't know that I wanted to be a chef. So my background was far away. But when I came to England, for the first time, I had good teachers that inspired me, and I made a career from that. What I love is testing food all the time, new ingredients, and experimenting with new techniques, to be honest, for me, it was difficult when I started to be a chef because I was the only woman. I'm proud to be a flexible chef and to be able to adapt to different circumstances and different types of cuisines.And now what I'm proud of, is teaching the younger generation of women chefs to believe in themselves, that they can make it, that they can do it, that they can become Head Chef.
