Retail Operations Receptionist

We are looking for a Retail Operations Receptionist to join the team here at Harrods. As a Retail Operations Receptionist, you will be responsible for the smooth and professional coordination of our internal alteration fittings while supporting the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the department. You will play a key role in delivering excellent internal customer service, accurate scheduling, and efficient administrative workflows that enable the team to operate seamlessly.

About the Role

As a Retail Operations Receptionist at Harrods, you’ll be a vital member of The Tailors team, ensuring the efficient coordination of alteration fittings and supporting operational continuity behind the scenes. With a strong focus on administrative excellence and internal customer service, you will help maintain the high standards of service Harrods is renowned for.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the Fitter diary, ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately and efficiently while preventing diary conflicts and minimising downtime.
• Supporting colleagues across the business by responding promptly to alterations enquiries and maintaining accurate digital and physical records for bespoke garments and transactions.
• Support operational continuity by managing back-of-house processes, handling administrative tasks
• Proactively identifying opportunities to improve workflows and increase efficiency across the alterations booking journey.

This role is fully onsite, working 5 out of 7 days per week.

About You

You will have a strong customer service focus when dealing with internal stakeholders and understand the importance of delivering a professional and responsive service. You will be highly organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

You will also:

• Have strong customer service and communication skills when interacting with internal teams.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Have excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail.
• Be confident coordinating and scheduling appointments while managing competing priorities.
• Be experienced in maintaining accurate records and handling administrative processes.
• Be comfortable managing inbound enquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
• Be able to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
